The Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association (JCRTA) is proud to recognize 19 Jefferson County educators who were selected to receive Active Teacher Grants during the current school year. The grants total more than $4,300 and will be used to support classroom instruction and student learning.

For the past decade, JCRTA has sponsored the Active Teacher Grants Program as a way to give back to active educators and directly support classrooms across the county. These grants help teachers purchase much-needed instructional materials, classroom supplies, and innovative resources that might otherwise be unavailable due to limited funding.

What makes this program especially meaningful is that all grant funds are donated by JCRTA members, retired educators who remain deeply committed to the success of today’s teachers and students. Their generosity continues to have a lasting impact on classrooms throughout Jefferson County.

Grant checks were presented to recipients by Sabrina Thomas, Active Teacher Grants Program Coordinator, who commended the educators for their dedication and creative efforts on behalf of their students.

JCRTA congratulates all grant recipients and thanks its members for their continued support of public education through this important program.
