Congratulations to Jefferson Middle School on achieving Gold Status in the Safe Stars initiative!

The Safe Stars initiative is a free, voluntary Tennessee Department of Health program, in partnership with Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, that recognizes youth sports leagues for meeting high safety standards. It offers Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels, focusing on injury prevention, concussion education, and emergency preparedness to protect young athletes.

Gold Status represents the highest level of safety, requiring adherence to all Bronze and Silver standards, along with additional measures such as enhanced injury prevention, on-site medical professionals, and specialized emergency plans.

A special thank you to Trey Potts, the Athletic Director, and all of the coaches for their hard work in achieving this Gold Status. Pictured below are left to right are Sarah Garrison, Daniel Frye, Emma Celuch, Trey Potts, Principal Melanie Simpson, and Director Tommy Arnold. This accomplishment reflects JMS's strong commitment to the health, safety, and wellness of athletes.
